Heavy duty robot soldering head 250 W with solder wire feeder - JBC HM470-5A

Selective joints with heavy heat sinking push a 150 W head to its limit. The HM470-5A starts at 250 W and 42 V and holds tip temperature up to 500 °C, so ground planes and sturdy terminals still solder through within the planned cycle time.

What defines this head

• TR470 soldering tool with a cartridge centring system that seats the R470 cartridge cleanly during a manual change.
• 250 W of heating power and a range of 90 to 500 °C for joints with high thermal demand.
• SFR Solder Feeder for wire from 0.5 to 1.5 mm, with wire perforation that improves flux flow and outgassing.
• CLRP Tip Cleaner clears the tip in one second, keeping heat transfer and therefore joint quality stable.
• Remote control of the UCR control unit by robot, PC or PLC over the JBC RS232 communication protocol.
• ESD safe design as stated by the manufacturer.

Scope of delivery and compatibility

The head consists of the TR470 soldering tool, the SFR Solder Feeder and the CLRP Tip Cleaner. R470 cartridges and the GSFR guide kit are not included and are selected to match the joint and the wire diameter. Control is handled by a UCR control unit of the 470 series.
