Eyepiece free stereo microscope head with HD camera, 3x to 15x - Vision MPH001

Inspecting boards, connectors or small parts for a whole shift costs posture first and concentration second when the eye is pressed to an eyepiece. The Mantis PIXO answers that with eyepiece free optics that project the stereo image into a large viewing field. The operator looks in from a few centimetres away, can wear glasses and keeps the head free to move. Magnification from 3x to 15x covers everything from a board overview down to a single solder joint.

The decisive points

• Eyepiece free viewing is the design, not an accessory. Head and neck stay mobile, spectacle wearers keep their glasses on and two operators can take turns at the same head without readjustment.
• Magnification from 3x to 15x through a three position objective changer. Switching between the three fitted objectives happens at the head, without moving the sample.
• Integrated HD camera for video and still capture. Findings can be labelled, annotated and compared against custom overlays, so inspection records are produced without a second device.
• Dynamic 3D illumination models edges, solder menisci and height differences. White and UV illumination is available as an option and makes adhesive beads and conformal coating visible.
• Working distance follows the chosen objective from the MTO range. The SLWD versions leave enough clearance below the optics to solder and rework under the head.
• A compact head at 218 x 371 x 275 mm and 4.5 kg that mounts on the Mantis stands and base plates without crowding the bench.

Compatibility

The head works with the MTO003 to MTO015 objectives for Mantis PIXO and ERGO, including the SLWD versions with long working distance.
