LED transmitted light base LED3000 BLI, 77 mm object field, touch panel - Leica 10450661

Transparent parts, films, bond wires and plastic housings only reveal their edges in transmitted light. The Leica LED3000 BLI delivers that light as a base of its own, with a footprint of 220 x 170 mm and an illuminated object field of 77 mm in diameter.

Benefits in use

• 36 LEDs produce enough brightness even for demanding transmitted light tasks, with no halogen lamp to replace.
• The built in diffuser disc spreads the light evenly across the full 77 mm object field, so stripes and hotspots stay out of the image.
• Colour temperature of 6000 K keeps the colours of the specimen comparable over the working day.
• Working area of 220 x 170 mm, so larger specimens can be placed and moved around.
• An inductive touch panel replaces the rotary knob, the closed surface can be wiped down and has no mechanical control shaft to wear out.
• Can be fitted into standard base plates with a 120 mm recess or used free standing as an instrument of its own.

Applications

Inspection of transparent and semi transparent parts, checking of bores, edges and contours, measuring of outlines, work on films and plastic parts, laboratory and training. Equally suited as a retrofit on an incident light bench that so far only lit from above.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The base is supplied as an illumination unit, microscope body, stand and base plate are not included. For a flush installation the existing base plate needs a recess of 120 mm in diameter. Operation requires the power supply for LED3000 and LED5000, which is not part of the delivery. Diffusers offered for the LED3000 RL ring light do not fit this transmitted light base.
