A chair at an EPA workstation has two jobs at once, supporting the operator through a full shift and carrying away the charge that builds up. The TEXON 2 answers both with dissipation across every component and an Auto-Motion mechanism that follows the movement instead of fighting it. Seat height adjusts between 450 and 620 mm, the backrest measures 570 mm.

What sets the chair apart

• Auto-Motion keeps the back in contact with the upholstery even in a forward working posture. For precise manual work the mechanism locks in one of three positions.
• The Flex-Back in the lower backrest opens up rearward travel while the 570 mm backrest stays in contact with the spine.
• Interchangeable upholstery system. Seat and backrest release in one click without tools, so a worn pad does not cost a whole chair.

One chair per sales unit, with an aluminium five-star base and castors. Armrests and a foot ring are separate TEXON accessories from Bimos, the ESD armrests carry the designation 9179E.

Standards and compliance

The overall dissipation is designed for electrostatic protected areas to DIN EN 61340-5-1. The manufacturer property table lists the chair as ESD safe. The reference standard for office and task swivel chairs is DIN EN 1335.
