A main filter only reaches its full service life if the coarse fraction is separated out ahead of it. That is the job of the Filtronic top filter 031-210-0323-A1, the uppermost prefilter stage in the FT 1, FT 11 and FT 12 extraction units. It is supplied individually and replaced without tools.

Applications
The top filter belongs to the scheduled maintenance of solder fume extraction at manual soldering benches, in rework and in repair cells of electronics production. With rosin-based solder and multi-shift operation a short change interval makes sense, because the aerosols load the uppermost filter layer quickly.
