Inside an EPA the wire ends have to be cut close to the component without any charge reaching sensitive semiconductors through the tool. The 64 62 120 ESD electronics end cutting nipper cuts soft wire up to 0.6 mm dia. and drains charges in a controlled way through its dissipative handle sleeves.

Assembly, repair and rework of printed circuit boards in ESD protected areas, plus precision mechanics, laboratory work and prototyping. The end cutting nipper works head on, so it suits every place where the wire runs at right angles to the plier axis and there is no side access.

Standards and conformity

The plier complies with DIN ISO 9654 and is built to be electrostatically dissipative to DIN EN 61 340-5. According to the manufacturer it contains no substances of very high concern under REACH. The RoHS directive does not apply to this product.
