SCS Metal-In shielding bag, heat-sealable, 150 x 200 mm - Desco 10068

This shielding bag with an embedded metal layer protects sensitive electronics against electrostatic discharge during storage and shipping. At 150 x 200 mm (width x height) it is sized for individual memory modules, sensor boards and small PCBs. After filling, the opening is heat-sealed, and the transparent film keeps the contents visible.

Benefits

• Buried metal layer: in the PET/ALU/PE laminate the aluminium sits between the films, not on the surface.
• Dissipative inside and out: surface resistance from 10E4 ohm to below 10E9 ohm on both sides.
• Heat-sealable: closed with a bag sealer, the bag stays shut until it is opened at the destination.
• Check without opening: part and label can be read through the transparent film, and the printed ESD warning symbol marks the contents.

Applications

Typical contents are single modules, spare boards for service work or small assemblies that are bagged at goods-in and taken out again on the production line. The bag keeps parts protected outside the EPA as well, for example when shipping to customers or between sites. The range is available in further sizes.
