SCS ESD shielding and moisture barrier bag, 203 x 255 mm, film thickness 0.102 mm

Moisture-sensitive components and circuit boards face two risks in storage and shipping: absorbed humidity and electrostatic discharge. This moisture barrier bag in 203 x 255 mm covers both. The multilayer film of polyester and polyethylene, 0.1016 mm (4 mil) ±10 % thick, has a defined water vapour transmission rate, and the shielding limits the discharge energy that passes through to less than 10 nJ.

Applications

The 203 x 255 mm format suits single modules, small printed circuit boards and trays of moisture-sensitive ICs. A typical job is packing small assemblies after baking, together with desiccant and a humidity indicator card, or shipping single parts and samples to customers and contract manufacturers.
