Electronics that are sensitive to both moisture and ESD need two kinds of protection at once: a barrier against water vapour and a Faraday cage against external discharges. This moisture barrier bag in 254 x 305 mm combines both in a silver multilayer film, 0.1067 mm thick, with a defined water vapour transmission rate. The format holds a typical control board together with a desiccant pouch, without heavy folding of the film at the seal.

Applications

Suited to populated PCBs and medium sized assemblies, for example shipping populated boards to customers or service, interim storage between production steps and storing repair assemblies. The bag protects the contents outside the ESD protected area as well, in storage and in transit.
