The adapter connects endoscopy light guides with an M7 × 0.75 thread to the standard mount of Starlight cold light sources. Existing technical endoscopes can therefore be run from an LED source without replacing the light guide.
It is made of metal and centred without play through the screw connection, so the light entry face sits concentric with the source. An off-centre mount costs noticeable light output, especially at small active diameters.
