In an ESD area S1 is often light enough, but the moment cut wire ends, screws or chips lie on the floor the penetration barrier is missing. The FLASH 1805 XP closes exactly that gap. It adds metal free XP penetration resistance to the light mesh build of the FLASH 1800 and stays fully ESD compliant with a person, shoe and floor resistance below 100 MOhm under the DIN EN 61340-5-1 measuring method.

What sets this model apart

  • Safety class S1P means S1 plus a penetration resistant midsole, so a closed heel area, antistatic build, energy absorbing heel and protection against sharp objects from below.
  • XP penetration resistance in high tech textile with aramid fibres, metal free and extremely light. It covers the full sole area and still allows the natural torsion of the foot.
  • alu-tec aluminium toe cap to EN ISO 20345:2012, tested at 200 joules and 15 kN. Aluminium is lighter than steel, shifts the centre of gravity towards the middle of the foot and stays thermally neutral, so no cold bridge forms over the toes.
  • MESH UPPER with an open air texture and the clima-stream concept of breathable upper, thermo regulating lining and Klima Komfort insole. The aktiv-X functional lining regulates moisture on top of that.
  • MPU INNOFLEX system with CLOUDZONE in the heel and DYNAMIC PLATES in the forefoot, plus the MPU REBOUND SYSTEM of pressure relieving insole and responsive MPU foam.
  • Reinforced toe protection against abrasion, standard width 10, slip resistance SRC, suitable for orthopaedic insoles under DGUV rule 112-191.

Applications

Electronics production with placement waste on the floor, cable assembly, test areas, assembly and rework, warehousing and order picking, maintenance in dry indoor areas. Where wet conditions or outdoor work are added, an S3 model with a water repellent upper is the better fit.
