ESD Safety Low Shoe alu-tec 625 XP 2.0 S3S, Nubuck Leather, Black Blue - Atlas 15400

In electronics manufacturing every gram on the foot counts, because the wearer moves the shoe for eight hours. The alu-tec 625 XP 2.0 therefore replaces two heavy parts: the steel cap with an aluminium cap and the steel midsole with an aramid fabric. The test values stay the same, 200 joules impact energy and 15 kN compression to EN ISO 20345:2022.

What sets this shoe apart

• Dissipative to DIN EN 61340-5-1: the shoe drains the wearer's static charge through the sole instead of carrying it to the next component. This is the basic requirement for an EPA to work at all.
• alu-tec aluminium toe cap to EN ISO 20345:2022, tested at a minimum of 200 joules impact energy and 15 kN compression. Aluminium weighs less than steel, shifts the centre of gravity towards the middle of the foot and forms no cold bridge into the shoe.
• Puncture resistant without metal: the XP midsole made of aramid fabric stops nails and swarf, weighs less than a steel midsole and leaves the foot its natural torsion. Metal-free also means the shoe does not trigger metal detection.
• The MPU INNOFLEX sole system guides the force along the INNOFLEX line from heel to toe. The CLOUDZONE in the heel and the energy absorbing MPU tread surfaces take up the impact and return it into the next step.
• SOFT nubuck leather from full grain cowhide about 2 mm thick, breathable and soft from day one. There is no long break-in period, which counts on a department order with many wearers.
• Standard width 10 in the ATLAS width system, plus the MPU REBOUND SYSTEM made up of a pressure relieving insole and responsive MPU sole. Anyone standing for eight hours notices it in the heel first.
• The aktiv-X functional lining actively regulates moisture, does not stain and is abrasion resistant. After the shift the shoe dries through quickly.
• Approved for orthopaedic insoles per DGUV rule 112-191. Anyone who wears an insole does not have to fall back on a safety shoe without approval.

Standards and conformity

• EN ISO 20345:2022, protection class S3S with the additionally tested slip resistance SR. S3S means a closed heel area, antistatic properties, an energy absorbing heel, resistance to water penetration and water absorption, a cleated outsole and a non-metallic penetration resistant insert tested with the 3.0 mm nail. SR stands for the slip resistance tested in addition on tile with glycerine.
• DIN EN 61340-5-1 for the ESD workplace. The shoe is the dissipative link in the chain of person, shoe and floor.
• PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425, risk category II.
• DGUV rule 112-191 for orthopaedic insoles.
