In warm halls the climate inside the shoe decides whether it survives the shift. The BIG SIZE 465 ESD is an open sandal with S1P protection, which means toe cap and penetration resistance, and it is available in EU sizes 51 to 53. The ESD equipment makes it usable in protected areas to DIN EN 61340-5-1.

What this model delivers

• Ventilation without giving up penetration resistance. S1P means toe cap, antistatic construction, energy absorbing heel area and a penetration resistant midsole. Many sandals only reach S1. Here the protection against nails and splinters stays in place.
• Large sizes in an open design. EU 51 to 53 on the BIG SIZE last. The straps adjust the width and compensate for the volume changes a foot goes through during the day, which matters with large feet and long standing periods.
• Charge dissipation inside the protected area. The ESD equipment closes the path from the wearer through the floor. The shoe therefore plays its part in the protection concept to DIN EN 61340-5-1 and prevents a discharge at the moment the hand reaches the assembly.
• Steel toe cap tested at 200 joules. The anatomically shaped cap withstands 200 joules of impact energy and 15 kN of compression to EN ISO 20345:2012. The stainless steel midsole follows the last and is foamed into the sole.
• clima-stream and SOFT nubuck leather. The clima-stream concept combines a breathable upper, a thermoregulating lining and the Klima Komfort insole and balances the moisture inside the shoe. Added to that are soft SOFT nubuck leather and the aktiv-X functional lining.
• Sure footed outdoors as well. The outdoor outsole with 4.5 mm deep lugs reaches slip resistance SRC. The 3D cushioning system of pressure relieving insole and MPU sole absorbs long standing periods. Approved for orthopaedic insoles to DGUV Rule 112-191.
