Stand-off lock-in die with 3 leads in line TO220 for Supercut/TOCF - Iteco 132400

Power devices often must not touch the board, so that heat can escape and flux residues can be washed out from underneath. On the Supercut/TOCF this die assembly forms a stand-off loop into the three in line leads of the TO220, holding the gap and locking the part at the same time.

Operating features

• Defined gap above the board - the loop acts as a spacer, the package does not rest on the laminate.
• Retention in the same operation - the formed lead holds the device in the hole before soldering.
• Leads stay in line - the die works without displacing the center lead, matching a straight hole pattern.
• Better cleaning access - the gap under the package allows flux residues to be removed.
• Up to 3000 pieces per hour - the machine handles the shape at its normal cycle rate.

Applications

Assemblies with high dissipation where air has to circulate under the package, boards with a mandatory cleaning step after soldering, and layouts with a straight lead row and no staggered center pad.

Compatibility and scope of supply

The die works only in the Supercut/TOCF automatic machine, which Iteco supplies under part numbers 7915.176 and 7915.177 in the 115 V and 230 V versions. The machine ships without tooling and every forming shape needs its own die. Each component package additionally requires the matching clamping piece and tube holder. Supplied as one complete die assembly. Made in Italy.
