Center lead spread and lock-in die TO220 for Supercut/TOCF - Iteco 132200

Components that move before soldering cause scrap. On the Supercut/TOCF this die assembly not only displaces the center lead of the TO220, it also forms a loop into the lead that catches in the hole and keeps the package in position.

Operating features

• Loop as a mechanical retainer - the lead grips inside the hole, so the part cannot drop out when the board is turned over.
• Displaced center lead - matches layouts whose middle pad sits out of the line of the outer pads.
• Defined stand height - the formed loop determines how far the package settles towards the board.
• Both shapes in one stroke - offset and loop are produced together with the cut.
• Up to 3000 pieces per hour - the machine keeps its output even with two forming features.

Applications

Wave soldering lines where the populated board is turned or moved before soldering, and assemblies exposed to vibration in which the package must stay put until it is bolted down.

Compatibility and scope of supply

The die works only in the Supercut/TOCF automatic machine, which Iteco supplies under part numbers 7915.176 and 7915.177 in the 115 V and 230 V versions. The machine ships without tooling and every forming shape needs its own die. Each component package additionally requires the matching clamping piece and tube holder. Supplied as one complete die assembly. Made in Italy.
