Die assembly for 90 degree bending of component leads on Supercut/RP - Iteco 7915158F

Radial components normally stand upright on the board. This die block bends the leads through 90 degrees at a defined distance from the body, so the body lies across the insertion direction. Cutting and bending happen in one pneumatic stroke, as with the other blocks of the range.

Features

• The 90 degree bend is made at a fixed point on the lead, so the angle is the same across the whole run and needs no manual correction.
• A part mounted lying down builds far flatter than an upright one, which can be decisive where height above the board is limited.
• Bending is done by machine in a holder instead of with pliers, so the distance to the body is kept and the lead exit is not overstressed.
• It uses the same pneumatic tool holder as the loop forming dies and is changed without realigning the machine.

Applications

Assemblies with limited height in which radial parts are mounted lying flat, and applications where the lead has to be routed into a plane offset by 90 degrees. Common in flat enclosures, plug-in cards on a narrow pitch and mechanically loaded assemblies.

Compatibility and scope of supply

Fits the Supercut/RP 7915.154, 7915.154A, 7915.155 and 7915.155A. One die block is supplied, the machine is not included. For upright mounting the same range offers 7915.158A with the double loop, 7915.158B with the support loop and 7915.158C with the body butted on the board.
