When ESD sensitive assemblies leave the plant, the risk often sits on the outside of the bag. On the 1500 Series metal-out shielding bag the metal layer is on the outside under a protective top coat, giving a surface of just 1 x 10⁴ to < 1 x 10⁸ ohms that retains less charge than a metal-in bag. The bag with 255 x 305 mm inside dimensions shields discharges to below 10 nJ.

Applications

Shipping PCBs and assemblies to customers and suppliers, spare parts logistics, storage in goods-in and other unprotected areas. Some electronics manufacturers specify metal-out bags explicitly. Store dry and out of direct sunlight, discard damaged bags.
