When several earth bonding points come together in an ESD protected area, a defined handover point to earth is needed. This bracket is that hub: ring terminals from several ground cords are screwed onto the M5 binding post, and the built-in strain relief secures the wires. From here the connection runs to protective earth or functional ground.

Applications

IEC 61340-5-1 requires the ESD control items of a protected area to be connected to an earth bonding point, which in turn is connected to protective earth or functional ground. This bracket is designed for that connection.
