An ESD workstation needs a surface that generates no charge of its own and drains charges from parts and tools in a controlled way. The Statfree T2 Plus table mat in 0.6 x 1.2 m is made of oil-resistant nitrile rubber with a dissipative blue top layer (1 x 10⁶ to < 1 x 10⁹ ohms) and a conductive black bottom layer. The kit adds snap hardware, a ground cord and cleaner, so the station is ready to use straight away.

Applications

For assembly, test, repair and soldering stations in electronics production, laboratories and service. The mat must be grounded to remove charges. If it lies on a surface that is already properly grounded, separate grounding hardware may not be needed. Do not daisy-chain mats, ground each one individually.
