Combo Tester for Wrist Straps and ESD Footwear, with Stand and Foot Plate - Desco 99038

Before each shift, every operator should prove that wrist strap and footwear are working. The 99038 Combo Tester checks both at one station: a rocker switch selects wrist strap or footwear, and at the push of a button the display shows whether resistance lies between 750 kilohms and 35 megohms. Stand and foot plate are included.

Applications

Entry check at the ESD protected area. For the footwear test the operator stands with one foot on the foot plate, presses the hand contact and repeats the test with the other foot. For the wrist strap test, the cord is plugged into the tester and the test button pressed.

Standards

The tester is a tool for compliance verification per EN 61340-5-1, Annex A (wrist strap and footwear testing). The CLC TR 61340-5-2 user guide recommends daily testing of wrist straps that are worn daily.
