AC Outlet Analyser and Wrist Strap Tester, Type F (Schuko) Plug - Desco 98135

A wrist strap only protects if the outlet behind it is properly grounded. This Desco tester checks both in one unit: plugged into the outlet, it shows at once whether the wiring is correct and the equipment grounding conductor is intact. The operator then tests the wrist strap with the test switch against limits of 750 kilohms to 35 megohms.

Applications

Daily wrist strap testing right at the workstation, combined with an outlet check. The IEC TR 61340-5-2 user guide recommends testing wrist straps that are worn daily on a daily basis. If the wrist strap LED stays off, check the fit of the band and the coil cord, then retest.
