Gripping and bending wire calls for pliers that hold firmly without marking the surface. These flat nose pliers with long smooth jaws grip wire and leads gently, while the step in the tips gives extra force when bending.

The grips are double sheathed and cushioned. Their resistance is below 1 x 10¹¹ ohms, measured per ANSI/ESD STM11.13 with a two-point probe. Charges drain in a controlled way, and the pliers can be used on sensitive components inside the EPA.
