Dust and particles stuck in corners, crevices or on component edges are often not removed by suction alone. The crevice brush is used together with the SV-CN1 crevice nozzle. Its bristles loosen foreign material, which is then vacuumed up directly.

The 497 series ESD vacuums are designed for use in an EPA. Hose and accessories are conductive or dissipative, and charges drain through the grounding conductor of the power cord when the unit runs from a grounded outlet.
