ERSA dry sponge made of metal wool for the gentle, dry cleaning of soldering tips. When lead-free solder is used, increased oxide forms on the tip and can quickly create a black, non-wettable barrier layer. The special spiral wool reliably removes these accumulated passive layers and extends the service life of the soldering tip.

Unlike a damp viscose sponge, the dry sponge causes no thermal shock. The different metal layers of the tip therefore do not expand at different rates, which avoids micro-cracks and increased wear - the gentler solution, especially when working with lead-free solder.

Suitable for the 0A50, 0A52, 0A54 and 0A56 stands as well as the 0A08M dry cleaner holder.
