The Statshield smock surrounds torso and arms like a Faraday cage and keeps those fields away from sensitive components. As a groundable static control garment system it reaches a resistance to ground (Rtg) below 3.5 x 10⁷ ohms.

Applications

Production, assembly, test and repair of electronic assemblies in ESD protected areas. The smock must be fully fastened and grounded before ESD sensitive items are handled.

Meets the requirement for groundable static control garment systems per ANSI/ESD S20.20 and IEC 61340-4-9, with seam continuity per ANSI/ESD STM2.1. The hip-to-cuff function can be verified with a wrist strap tester or a continuous monitor.
