The 120R is built for continuous duty and rejects all of its waste heat through forced cooling. Once the fan slows from bearing wear or the impeller loads with dust, pump temperature rises, delivered volume drops and in the worst case the thermal protector cuts in. The genuine K1031 service kit returns cooling to its design condition.
