A fleet of work jackets is rarely bought once. It gets topped up when someone joins, when a piece drops out after a few years, or when a second line goes into production. Cornflower blue causes the least debate here, an established works colour that sits next to older stock without standing out.
Technically this jacket matches the other colours in the range. 48 % cotton, 48 % polyester and 4 % conductive yarn add up to 155 g/m², and the dissipative property lives in the yarn rather than in a finish. Mixing colours across the fleet therefore does not mix protective behaviour.
Day to day the colour sits between the two extremes. It does not report every mark the way white does, and it does not look worn out after one shift the way dark fabric with a bit of lint on it can.
Your benefits
- One colour for the whole shop floor: Twelve sizes from 3XS to 6XL out of the same dye lot keep a fleet consistent across shifts and departments, with no special order to arrange.
- Dissipation sits in the yarn: The 4 % conductive yarn is woven in and keeps working after repeated washing and wear. Which colour a department picks changes nothing about that.
- Measured by STFI: Surface resistance runs from 10⁵ to 10⁷ ohm, recorded at 23 (+/-1) °C and 25 (+/-5) % relative humidity, which is the dry case that counts in practice.
- Visitors are easy to spot: With staff dressed in cornflower blue, contractors and visitors inside the EPA stand out at a glance, without an extra vest or a badge on a lanyard.
- Logos need no underlay: White embroidery and light print sit cleanly on a mid-blue ground. A sample print before the first large run is still worth the two days it takes.
- Reorders straight from stock: Small quantities ship straight from our own warehouse, so replacing a handful of pieces does not trigger a new minimum order quantity.
Material and fabric
48 % cotton, 48 % polyester, 4 % conductive yarn and a fabric weight of 155 g/m². The blend wears better over eight hours than a heavy synthetic, because the cotton share takes up moisture. Compact cotton yarn also keeps lint down. Weaving and making up both run under one roof, from the cutting table to the packing bench.
- 48 % cotton, 48 % polyester, 4 % conductive yarn
- 155 g/m² fabric weight
- Low-lint compact cotton yarn with polyester
- Built for industrial laundering
Workmanship in detail
The lapel collar gives the jacket a line that still looks right on a plant tour with customers. The concealed snap placket keeps metal away from the workpiece, and the sweat guard at the neck covers the spot that wears first on daily workwear. Add the patch chest pocket on the left, two side pockets with slanted openings and the ESD logo on the right side pocket.
Lasting dissipation and wash resistance
The conductive yarn keeps its conductivity after repeated washing and wear. High-grade silver yarn is processed into the weave in a dedicated spinning method that anchors dissipation in the fabric. For a fleet that circulates through industrial laundry this is the decisive point.
Fit and size range
The women's cut with side bust darts sits quietly on the shoulder, even with a long-sleeve shirt underneath. Twelve sizes run from 3XS to 6XL. The larger sizes come from the same cut and the same dye lot as the smaller ones. The measurement chart is a PDF in the Downloads tab, which saves the sample round before a framework order.

- Teams working with colour-coded area marking
Care and service life
The jacket is suitable for industrial laundering, holds its shape and keeps its conductivity over many wash cycles. No general wash temperature is published, so the care label sewn into the garment is what counts. Mid-blue shades show abrasion and greying later than dark cloth.
Finishing and custom versions
Embroidery and print are handled in Germany, printing up to 160 °C, with a sample print recommended beforehand. Sleeves with conductive rib cuffs, extra snap fasteners or pockets and a contrast version are arranged on request, as are colours outside the catalogue range.
Standards and testing
Dissipation and surface resistance were tested successfully to DIN EN 61340-5-1:2016 by the test institute STFI. The recorded value is 10⁵ to 10⁷ ohm at 23 (+/-1) °C room temperature and 25 (+/-5) % relative humidity. Further ESD standards have not been the subject of a test or certification.
