Particle filters hold back the visible fume but not the rosin smell or the gaseous fraction. That is the job of the activated carbon element in the Quick QU6211, and because carbon saturates over time it belongs in the fixed maintenance plan for the station.

What the filter is for

For Quick QU6211 filter stations on soldering benches, electronics benches, in rework, service and assembly work where vapour and odour occur. Intended as a wear and replacement part for scheduled changes. The remaining stages of the same station are listed as QU6211PF pre-filter, QU6211MF medium filter and QU6211HEPA.
