The Quick 861DW usually handles the demanding jobs on the bench, lifting BGA packages, changing QFP parts, warming assemblies through. Its control board runs two variables at once, temperature and air volume, and stores the profiles. Once it fails, the 1000 W station can no longer be operated with a repeatable process.

What it does

• Controls hot air temperature over the full station range of 100 to 500 °C.
• Drives the blower and therefore the air volume, which decides whether a component survives the rework.
• Manages the three memory channels of the 861DW so proven profiles are available again after the repair.
• Keeps the automatic cooling of the heating element working, which directly affects the life of heater and handpiece.
• Genuine Quick component, no adapting of connectors or sensor wiring.

Compatibility

For the Quick 861DW. Soldering stations such as the TS2200 or 3104 use their own boards. Fitting by qualified staff only and with the unit unplugged, since mains voltage is present inside.
