Some joints are not small, they are simply hard to reach because a shielding can, a heat sink or a row of tall capacitors sits in front of them. This cartridge carries the same 1.0 mm conical point as the TSS10C-B but in a slim body, so it works into corners where a standard tip body would bottom out.

Where the slim body matters

• The long narrow taper dips between tall components instead of pushing them aside.
• A point diameter of 1.0 mm keeps heat off the neighbouring contact even at close pitch.
• The shallow working angle the slim shape allows keeps the joint visible rather than hiding it behind the tip.
• Rated in the 200 W class, so the thin body does not shed temperature the moment it touches down.
• Tip and heater form one cartridge. Quick quotes roughly 3 seconds from room temperature to 300 °C for the range, measured on the 1.6 mm tip.
• Thermocouple inside the tip and a chip holding the calibration value, so the reading stays comparable across changes.

Application, scope of delivery and compatibility

Aimed at repair and rework on tightly packed assemblies, contacts under shielding, work between tall parts and joints that are hard to see, as well as small pads, fine tracks and narrow component leads. Where access is not the issue, the TSS10C-B offers the same point diameter in the standard body. For more heat, step up to the 1.2 mm TSS10C-B-04 or to a chisel shape. The tip ships as a single cartridge and fits the Quick TS10 station only.
