To determine Shore D values on harder plastics reproducibly, you clamp your SAUTER Shore D hardness gauge into the TI-D lever test stand. The 50 N test force is released evenly by the lever and, according to the manufacturer, delivers results about 25 % more accurate than freehand measurement.
