Torque tools
Bernstein tools
Bernstein torque tools are slip-clutch torque adapters for 1/4" bits and 4 mm bits in a range from 0.1 Nm to 5.5 Nm. The adapter fits between a screwdriver handle or bit holder and the bit; when the set torque is reached it slips through (slip-clutch principle), preventing the target value from being exceeded. The range covers 25 individual adapters and several sets: 6-pc. 0.6-3.0 Nm (4-980-KSB), 7-pc. 0.6-3.0 Nm with handle (4-980-G), 8-pc. 0.1-0.6 Nm with two bit adapters (4-970-KSB), 6-pc. 3.0-5.5 Nm (4-989-KSB) and a 9-pc. set (4-970-G).

Typical applications: Assembly of sensitive electronics housings with plastic screws (0.1-0.6 Nm), securing PCB connectors and standoffs (0.6-2 Nm), device construction and precision mechanics with M1.4-M4 (0.2-3.0 Nm), quality assurance in series production with reproducible tightening values, and repair and maintenance where standard torque specifications for micro-screws must be met.
