Uncontrolled electrostatic discharge during work on electronic components can permanently destroy sensitive parts. The TorqueVario-S ESD combines controlled torque fastening with ESD protection per IEC 61340-5-1. The dissipative handle made of conductive plastic has a surface resistance of 10^6 to 10^9 ohms and channels electrostatic energy away in a controlled manner. The continuously adjustable torque from 0.04 to 0.46 Nm is set using the integrated numeric scale and the included Torque-Setter adjusting tool.
