Desoldering cartridge STDC series long 1.27/2.03 mm 485 °C - Metcal STDC-805L

Through-hole parts on ceramic substrates or on heavy ground planes are hard to clear with a standard cartridge because the heat drains away immediately. The STDC-805L desoldering cartridge combines heater, sensor and suction channel in one part and delivers a repeatable 485 °C at the tip through SmartHeat control.

Applications

The cartridge is used for ceramic substrates and joints with high thermal mass that need a higher tip temperature in repair, rework and small batch production, for example when removing connectors, electrolytic capacitors, resistor networks and leaded semiconductors.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The cartridge plugs into the MX-DS1 desoldering hand piece and runs on the MX-500, MX-5000 and MX-5200 power units. One STDC-805L desoldering cartridge is supplied per sales unit.
