Soldering tip chisel 90 degrees 3 mm STTC series - Metcal STTC-013

Wide pads and ground connections call for contact area rather than a point. The STTC-013 is a chisel soldering cartridge with 3 mm tip width, 4.8 mm tip length and a 90 degree face for the Metcal MX systems. Heating is regulated by the Curie point of the alloy inside the cartridge body, so the 357 °C working temperature is fixed and needs no calibration.

Applications

For connector headers, shielding cans, ground connections and drag soldering across several leads. The wide edge holds enough solder to work a row of pins in one pass.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The cartridge runs on the MX-H1-AVA and MX-RM3E hand pieces and therefore on the Metcal MX-500, MX-5000 and MX-5200 systems. It is exchanged without tools while the unit stays powered. Delivery covers one single soldering cartridge without hand piece and without power unit.
