The Weller PT D8 is a PT soldering tip in a chisel shape, 4.6x0.8 mm wide, set to the fixed Magnastat operating temperature of 425 °C. The temperature is held by the iron's Magnastat sensor without any electronic control, giving repeatable joints on PCBs and components.
