Assemblies that move openly between workstations need cushioning that drains charges at once. Carbostat cushion material is permanently volume-conductive and reaches a typical bleeder resistance of 10^4 - 10^5 Ohm.

Application

Inside the EPA it serves as a cushioning layer in conductive transport containers, for wrapping assemblies on in-house transport routes and as an interleaf between stacked boards. Conductive material must not touch live parts, and the film provides no shielding.
