Soldering tip conical 0.5 x 4.6 mm 357 °C STTC series - Metcal STTC-011

On Metcal SmartHeat stations the working temperature is selected through the cartridge instead of the power unit. The STTC series STTC-011 is a conical solder cartridge with a 0.5 mm tip diameter and 4.6 mm tip length, rated at a fixed tip temperature of 357 °C. It suits temperature sensitive applications that still need solid heat flow without overheating the part or the laminate.

Applications

Fine hand soldering and rework on densely populated boards, SMD joints, attaching thin wires and stranded leads, and access to pads that sit close to neighbouring components. The slim geometry reaches recessed joints without touching parts next to them.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The cartridge fits the MX-H1-AVA, MX-RM3E hand pieces and works on the MX-500, MX-5000 and MX-5200 systems. Changing tip shape or temperature means swapping the cartridge during operation. The order unit is one piece, supplied as a single STTC-011 solder cartridge without hand piece and without power unit.
