Soldering tip bevelled 60° long 1.78 x 14.2 mm STTC series - Metcal STTC-147

The coarser the pitch, the more solder the tip has to carry per stroke. The Metcal STTC-147 bevelled cartridge works with a 1.78 mm tip width, a 14.2 mm tip length and a 412 °C tip temperature.

Applications

Drag soldering on SOIC and connector leads, soldering of ground planes and shielding cans, rework on assemblies with a high heat demand.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The tip works with the Metcal MX-500, MX-5000 and MX-5200 systems and with the MX-H1-AVA and MX-RM3E handpieces. In the STTC series the cartridge and the heater form one unit, so a tip change during production takes seconds and needs no tools. Scope of delivery: 1 soldering tip cartridge STTC-147.
