Sulfide-free cleaning sponge yellow, pack of 10 - Thermaltronics SPG-10

A soldering tip usually loses wetting through oxide layers and solder residue rather than through wear. The SPG-10 is the matching replacement sponge for the stands of Thermaltronics soldering systems and the Metcal MX series, and it replaces Metcal article AC-Y10.

Applications

Daily tip cleaning at soldering benches in production, repair and laboratory work, in particular for lead-free soldering where higher tip temperatures speed up oxide formation.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

Usable in the stands of Thermaltronics soldering systems and in Metcal MX series stands. Ten sponges are supplied per pack. Moisten the sponge with demineralised water before use and squeeze out the excess.
