Wetting through-hole leads and medium SMD terminations in lead-free alloys depends on how much heat the tip can deliver. This chisel cartridge of the T series carries that energy through a 1.5 mm wide edge and a 10 mm reach, so joints close without long dwell times.

Applications

Soldering THT components, header strips and lead wires in repair and small batch production. The 1.5 mm edge also suits SOIC and gullwing leads where a fine conical tip cannot supply enough heat.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The cartridge works only with the SHP-T hand piece on the TMT-5000S-1 and TMT-5000S-2 stations. One soldering tip is supplied per order unit, with heater and sensor already built into the cartridge.
