Solder fumes, solvent vapours and process gases have to be captured where they are created, and inside an EPA the capture element itself must not become an electrostatic hazard. The Alsident 100-5545-3-6 is an ESD-safe DN100 extraction arm with 3 joints, 1185 mm reach and a recommended air volume of 140-400 m³/h.

Applications

Capture of solder fumes, adhesive and solvent vapours and process gases in electronics manufacturing, EPA zones, laboratories and Ex areas covered by the stated approvals. The 140-400 m³/h rating also suits larger capture tasks and larger hoods.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

Part of the Alsident System 100 AS and combinable with hoods, extraction tips and protective grilles of this nominal size as well as with the wall and ceiling brackets of the system. Delivery comprises the 3-joint extraction arm including the earthing cable with 1 MΩ safety resistor. Hood and bracket are ordered separately.

Tested for use in ESD areas to IEC 61340-5-1:2016 and for ESD and Ex areas to EN 80079-36:2016 and EN 80079-37:2016 under ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU.
