Packaging that builds up charge itself is a risk while boards and components move between production, test bench and stores. The Carbostat bag is made from permanently volume-conductive copolymer film with a typical bleeder resistance of 10^4 to 10^5 ohms and screens its contents against electrostatic fields. The 350 x 450 mm format with 0.08 mm film suits assemblies of that edge length.
