ESD shielding and moisture barrier bag PET/MET/PE, 254 x 305 mm

Moisture-sensitive components and assemblies need two barriers in storage and transit: one against electrostatic discharge and one against humidity. This bag in 254 x 305 mm (width x height) provides both. The metallised middle layer of the three-layer PET/MET/PE film limits the energy of an external discharge to below 10 nJ, and the film has a defined water vapour transmission rate. At 254 mm wide, the bag also takes wider assemblies and control boards that no longer fit narrower formats.

Applications

The bag is used in production, warehousing and shipping, for example for dry storage of moisture-sensitive devices (MSD), for returns and repairs, or for moving populated assemblies between sites. After filling, usually together with desiccant, it is closed with a heat sealer or vacuum packed. The range is available in further sizes.
