In an ESD protected area, components are rarely lost at the soldering iron. They are lost to a discharge on the way to the machine. The CX 340 ESD drains the wearer charge through a dissipative outsole into the floor and still carries full class S2 foot protection, with a toe cap tested at 200 joules.

What this model delivers

• The charge goes into the floor, not into the assembly. The ESD equipment makes the shoe part of the EPA to DIN EN 61340-5-1. On a dissipative floor covering the person to ground resistance stays inside the permitted window, so charge drains continuously instead of building up until the next contact.
• Toe protection with a tested figure. The anatomically shaped steel toe cap withstands 200 joules of impact energy and 15 kN of compression to EN ISO 20345:2012.
• S2 in plain words. Closed heel area, antistatic construction, energy absorbing heel and a water repellent upper. Penetration resistance is not part of S2, which keeps the shoe light and flexible.
• City Style sole system on an MPU base. The 8 mm heel and the biomechanically placed flex grooves in the forefoot keep the roll off natural. The outsole reaches slip resistance SRC on hard industrial floors as well as on office parquet.
• Eight hours on your feet without pressure points. The aktiv-X functional lining regulates moisture and dries quickly. The MPU REBOUND SYSTEM made up of a pressure relieving insole and responsive MPU midsole absorbs impact energy and returns it into the next step.
• Fit and orthopaedic insoles. Width 10 as the standard width, soft cowhide from carefully selected hides. The insole is removable and the model is approved for orthopaedic insole fitting under DGUV rule 112-191.
