ESD safety low shoe CX 40 women S1, SportLine fabric, steel toe cap, all black - Atlas 28900

Not every ESD workplace looks like a shop floor. The CX 40 women is an all-black ladies' model in safety class S1 that stays inconspicuous in the laboratory, at the test bench and in a customer meeting, yet carries a steel toe cap rated for 200 joules and 15 kN to EN ISO 20345. Resistance to DIN EN 61340-5-1 stays below 100 megohms.

What the shoe delivers

• S1 in plain words. Closed heel area, antistatic build, energy absorption in the heel and a toe cap rated for 200 joules. No water-repellent upper and no penetration barrier. That aims the shoe at dry indoor areas where low weight matters more than weather protection.
• Charge dissipation to DIN EN 61340-5-1. The shoe ties the wearer into the personnel grounding of the EPA. By the person-shoe-floor method Atlas guarantees less than 100 megohms, whereas the plain antistatic requirement of EN ISO 20345 accepts anything between 0.1 and 1000 megohms. For component protection the tighter figure is the one that counts.
• A genuine ladies' last, not a shrunken men's shoe. Atlas develops the CITY STYLE models around the female foot and puts weight on soft bedding. Anyone standing for eight hours feels the difference between a correct last and a model merely scaled down in size.
• MPU sole technology with the MPU REBOUND SYSTEM. Multifunctional polyurethane takes up the impact energy in the heel and returns part of it into the next step. Together with the pressure-relieving insole this gives the three building blocks of pressure relief, cushioning and dynamics. Slip resistance SRC.
• SportLine fabric instead of leather. The textile weave is highly air-permeable, given a hydrophobic finish, quick-drying and hard-wearing. Inside works the aktiv-X functional lining, which regulates moisture, does not stain and stays abrasion-resistant.
• clima-stream concept aiming at 32 degrees inside the shoe. Atlas names 32 °C as the comfort temperature inside the shoe, and one to two degrees above or below is already felt as hot or cold feet. A breathable upper, a thermoregulating lining and the insole even out the swings.
• Width 10 and orthopaedic insoles. Width 10 is the standard width of the Atlas multi-width system and is already cut generously for the foot. The shoe is released to DGUV rule 112-191 for exchanging the footbed against an orthopaedic insole, the marking inside the shoe being decisive.

Electronics manufacturing and placement, test and measuring benches, laboratory, cleanroom anteroom, order picking and dispatch. The shoe is built for dry indoor areas. Wet outdoor work calls for S2 or S3, and a risk of nails or swarf calls for a penetration-resistant model.
