Twelve kilometres per shift is nothing unusual in a plant with long walkways, and by the evening the sole decides how the feet feel. The FLASH 1005 XP ESD answers that with the MPU INNOFLEX sole system and a mesh upper, without saving on protection. S1PS with metal free penetration resistance and ESD equipment for protected areas to DIN EN 61340-5-1.

What this model delivers

  • No metal in the midsole. XP penetration resistance is made from a high tech textile with aramid fibres. It stops sharp objects, weighs a fraction of a steel midsole and does not stiffen the shoe, so the foot keeps its natural torsion.
  • Aluminium cap at full test rating. The anatomically shaped alu-tec cap meets the EN ISO 20345:2022 requirement of 200 joules impact energy and 15 kN compression at less weight than steel. It shifts the centre of gravity towards the middle of the foot and forms no cold bridge.
  • INNOFLEX sole with energy return. The INNOFLEX LINE guides the forces from heel to toe, the CLOUDZONE in the heel absorbs the impact, and the large MPU tread surfaces return the stored energy into the next step. Slip resistance SR.
  • Charge drains continuously. With its ESD equipment the shoe becomes part of the EPA to DIN EN 61340-5-1. The wearer's charge leaves through the dissipative floor instead of building up until the next contact with an assembly.
  • What S1PS covers here. Antistatic construction, closed and energy absorbing heel area and penetration resistance. In the 2022 edition the PS marking stands for the non metallic penetration barrier, tested with the 3 mm nail. No water repellent upper, which keeps the shoe light and air permeable, the right trade for indoor work.
  • Foot climate across the whole shift. The mesh upper wraps the foot closely and lets air circulate. The clima-stream concept of breathable upper, thermoregulating lining and Klima Komfort insole balances moisture. Added to that are the aktiv-X functional lining, the MPU REBOUND SYSTEM and approval to DGUV Rule 112-191.
