Class S1P safety low shoe for ESD protected workplaces, built on a sporty last. Measured as the person, shoe and floor system to DIN EN 61340-5-1, the through resistance stays below 100 MOhm, so an assembly takes no discharge damage when someone walks from the store to the machine. A 200 joule toe cap and the metal free XP penetration resistant insert protect the foot without making the shoe heavy.

Anyone spending eight hours on their feet in electronics manufacturing notices every gram and every hard heel strike. The RUNNER 25 is a safety low shoe cut like a running shoe, and it does one job reliably. Measured as the person, shoe and floor system to DIN EN 61340-5-1, the through resistance stays below 100 MOhm, so the wearer charge drains away before it reaches an assembly.

EN ISO 20345 allows antistatic footwear anywhere between 100 kOhm and 1000 MOhm. For the ESD version Atlas additionally guarantees the narrower value below 100 MOhm, which is what an EPA set up to DIN EN 61340-5-1 asks for.

What sets this model apart

  • Safety class S1P to EN ISO 20345 means a closed heel area, antistatic construction, energy absorbing heel and an added penetration resistant insert. For dry shop floors with swarf or nails on them this is the right level, without carrying the heavier build of an S3 shoe.
  • Penetration resistance comes from the metal free XP insert by Atlas. It covers the tread area over its full surface instead of leaving gaps at the edges the way a steel plate does, and it conducts no cold into the foot.
  • Toe cap to EN ISO 20345, tested at 200 joules of impact energy.
  • The upper is a PET fabric made from REPREVE fibres, that is from recycled plastic. It stays light and breathable and works together with the clima-stream concept towards an even climate inside the shoe.
  • SPORTY sole technology with the MPU REBOUND SYSTEM. The multi layer polyurethane takes up energy on impact and returns part of it during roll off, which tells at the end of a shift.
  • aktiv-X functional lining for lasting moisture regulation. The shoe is approved for orthopaedic insoles to DGUV rule 112-191, the marking inside the shoe is decisive.

Placement, test and measuring benches, assembly and repair in electronics manufacturing, order picking and goods receipt inside the EPA, service work on sensitive assemblies. The penetration resistant insert also makes the shoe usable in hall areas where wire offcuts, swarf or nails may lie on the floor.

Standards and conformity

EN ISO 20345, safety class S1P, slip resistance SRC. ESD property to the person, shoe and floor measuring method of DIN EN 61340-5-1 with a through resistance below 100 MOhm. Personal protective equipment of category 2 under PPE regulation (EU) 2016/425. Suitable for orthopaedic insoles to DGUV rule 112-191, the marking inside the shoe applies.
