In electronics manufacturing a wearer covers several kilometres of hall floor per shift, and every one of those steps builds up a static charge. The FLASH 2000 in width 12 is an ESD compliant safety low shoe in protection class S1 to EN ISO 20345:2022. Its alu-tec aluminium cap withstands the required 200 joules of impact energy and 15 kN of compression while weighing less than steel. Mesh upper, aktiv-X functional lining and Klima Komfort insole together form the clima-stream concept, and a carbon-fibre reinforced bumper protects the toe during kneeling work.
What sets this model apart
- Dissipate the charge, do not collect it. The shoe is ESD compliant. Measured by the person-shoe-floor method of DIN EN 61340-5-1, the resistance stays below 100 MOhm, so the wearer charge drains to ground in a controlled way. In practice that means no component fails from a discharge on the walk between bench and machine. The plain antistatic requirement of EN ISO 20345, 100 kOhm to 1000 MOhm, does not cover this. It protects the person, not the electronics.
- S1 in plain words. A closed heel area, antistatic construction and a heel region that absorbs impact energy, plus the toe cap that every protection class of EN ISO 20345 requires. For dry indoor areas such as production, test benches and stores, that is the right level of equipment.
- alu-tec aluminium cap instead of steel. It passes the same test of 200 joules impact energy and 15 kN compression to EN ISO 20345, yet weighs less and shifts the centre of gravity towards the middle of the foot. That helps prevent trips caused by imbalance. Aluminium behaves thermally neutral and forms no cold bridge into the shoe.
- Mesh upper against heat build-up. The high-tech fabric wraps the foot closely and stays flexible while doing so. Its air texture keeps the circulation going instead of trapping heat inside the shoe. In heated production halls that is the difference between a dry foot and a clammy one at the end of a shift.
- INNOFLEX outsole with MPU tread zones. The sole complex guides the force along the INNOFLEX LINE from heel to toe. The CLOUDZONE in the heel absorbs the energy and the large MPU tread zones return it into the next step. The MPU REBOUND SYSTEM adds a pressure-relieving insole to the responsive MPU sole. Anyone spending eight hours on a concrete floor notices the difference by the evening.
- Width 12 for broad feet. At Atlas, width 10 is already the generously shaped standard last. Width 12 goes beyond it as the extra wide step of the multi-width system. Anyone whose ball of the foot presses in standard shoes gets the right last here instead of buying a size up and then sliding in the heel.

Areas of use
PCB assembly and module build, test and measurement benches, repair and rework, order picking inside the EPA, cleanroom ante-areas and assembly lines. The S1 equipment level assumes dry indoor areas. For wet floors or outdoor work, a model in class S2 or S3 is the right choice.

- EN ISO 20345:2022, protection class S1
- Slip resistance SR, tested on ceramic tile with glycerine, the basic 2022 requirement on ceramic tile with detergent being met
- ESD compliant to DIN EN 61340-5-1, person-shoe-floor resistance below 100 MOhm
- Antistatic construction to EN ISO 20345, resistance between 100 kOhm and 1000 MOhm
- PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425, risk category II
- Orthopaedic insoles to DGUV rule 112-191
