Anyone who starts the morning in electronics production and stands at goods-in on the yard by midday needs a shoe for both. The RUNNER 305 ESD is built as an ankle-high lace-up boot and rated class S3 SRC to EN ISO 20345, the highest of the common levels. The roughly 2 mm waterproof smooth leather keeps water out for several hours, the steel cap protects the forefoot against 200 joules and 15 kN, and the XP midsole stops nails without a gram of metal under the foot.
What sets this model apart
- Charge dissipation first. ATLAS labels the shoe explicitly as an ESD version to DIN EN 61340-5-1 and guarantees a person-shoe-floor resistance below 100 megohms. The footwear standard itself only defines the antistatic band from 100 kilohms to 1000 megohms, so the ESD proof goes beyond it. In practice the wearer charge drains away in a controlled manner on the walk from the bench to the machine instead of building up on the body and destroying a component.
- S3 SRC in plain words. S3 contains everything from S1, plus a water-repellent upper, the penetration-resistant midsole and a cleated outsole. SRC means slip resistance is proven both on ceramic with detergent and on steel with glycerine. Anyone walking from production straight out into the yard in the same shoe is well served.
- Ankle-high design. Unlike the low shoes in the range the RUNNER 305 is a lace-up boot that encloses the ankle and supports it when climbing a ladder or a loading bed. The lacing runs above the ankle, so the fit can be set individually tight.
- Waterproof smooth leather, around 2 mm thick. The full-grain cattle leather keeps water out for several hours and so keeps feet dry, while remaining breathable, durable and dimensionally stable. It is exactly that combination which lifts the classification.
- Penetration protection without metal. XP technology replaces the steel midsole with a high-tech textile containing aramid fibres. It stops nails, stays extremely light, lets the foot torsion work naturally and creates no cold bridge under the foot.
- Steel toe cap with a 200 joule margin. The anatomically shaped steel cap protects the toe area against an impact of at least 200 joules and a compression load of at least 15 kN. 200 joules is roughly 20 kilograms dropped onto the forefoot from one metre.
- SPORTY sole with MPU REBOUND SYSTEM. The sole complex is designed for soft bedding and responsiveness, and the MPU REBOUND SYSTEM delivers noticeably gentle, fatigue-free walking. That pays off on long distances inside the plant.
- aktiv-X functional lining and clima-stream. The lining regulates moisture actively and makes the shoe dry quickly after the shift. It does not stain, is skin-friendly and abrasion-resistant. The clima-stream concept balances humidity and temperature inside the shoe.
- Approved for orthopaedic insoles. ATLAS lists the model as suitable for insole supply to DGUV rule 112-191. Staff with a prescribed insole therefore need no special purchase, the marking inside the shoe is decisive.
